"And you shall teach them to your children . . ." - Deuteronomy 6.7

PTBE offers engaging and enduring educational experiences for students of all ages. Children, teens, and adults are integral members of our warm and caring community. The values we teach reflect a deep appreciation for Jewish tradition and encourage active interpretation and creative forms of religious expression. Embarking on a Jewish education is a life-long journey. In our education programs, students learn and experience the wisdom of Torah study, the depth of Jewish prayer and the Hebrew language, the rhythm of living the Jewish calendar and celebrating the Jewish holidays, the values and ethics from our tradition, and the rich history and culture of the Jewish people. Our goal is for students to gain the necessary tools to enable them to continue to study, question, and participate actively in Jewish life. We embrace and teach the principles of Reform Judaism.

A Few Highlights for the Upcoming Year Include:
  • Educational theme for the year - Our People's Story: An Excellent Adventure.
  • New Hebrew education options for children in grades 3-6
  • For families with children in Kindergaraten-6th grade, continued choice between our Sunday program and Gesher (Bridge)**, an alternative educational experience for the whole family.
  • Continuation of the Exploring the World of Judaism adult speaker series, sponsored by the Bureau of Jewish Education, on Sunday mornings and expanding into Gesher and our teen program.
  • New and exciting elective choices in WNP - Wednesday Night Teen Program.
