The PTBE Vision of Brotherhood
The PTBE Brotherhood brings together a group of over 100 Jewish men for many unique bonding and volunteering experiences. Our commitments to Judaism, to our Temple, to friendship, and to our larger community generates good will and service that we share with the entire congregation. We have members of different ages, stages, and interests and each person participates how much and how often they wish.

THE RICK KADET MEMORIAL SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM
To honor one of our past members and an active contributor to the Brotherhood and PTBE at large, we support an on-going fund to bring speakers and educators of note to the congregation. Past weekends included Yale Strom, a filmmaker, musician, and author specializing in Klezmer and other music of Eastern Europe and Professor Mark Dollinger, a member of the Jewish Studies faculty at San Francisco State University and an expert on the Jewish history of the Bay Area. The Brotherhood sponsors these weekend-long events to support the continuing education of our Temple community, one of Rick’s many passions.
