Tree of Life Service 8:30 a.m.

Our Tree of Life family service features the music of Cantor Elana and the High Holy Days Ensemble. This family-focused service caters to K–5th grade children’s attention span, lasts no longer than one‐and‐a‐half hours, yet still includes the important and meaningful liturgy of the High Holy Days that inspires our minds and moves our hearts. It is a custom to wear white and avoid leather (or wear sneakers!) in observance of this day.


Adult Service 11:00 a.m.

The morning service offers adults and teen members an opportunity to worship in a setting conducive to personal and spiritual introspection. The service includes meaningful liturgy, music, Torah, and a sermon for the High Holy Days. It is a custom to wear white and avoid leather (or wear sneakers!) in observance of this day.

Families are welcome to attend. Please note that service content is geared towards adults and service time is full length.

Those joining at home can follow the service with this virtual prayer book on a second device (i.e. tablet, phone, etc.)

Adult Study with Rabbi Lisa 2:00 p.m.

Join Rabbi Lisa and Marla Becker to hear selections chanted from the Book of Jonah. Rabbi Lisa will lead an interactive study session, Jonah: A Reluctant Prophet.


Women’s Healing Service with PTBE Clergy 3:00 p.m.

As our new year begins, we pray for community, comfort, wholeness, and healing. Join an intimate prayer space with your clergy to reflect as women on our personal challenges over the past year and set intentions for well-being, goodness, and spiritual renewal as we enter 5785. Open to all female-identifying and non-binary individuals who seek a safe space for prayer and reflection.

Contemplative Service with Saul Kaye 4:00 p.m.

(In-person and virtual options available)

Through meditation, story, and song, this unique worship experience will allow us to deepen our prayers and continue opening our hearts to the sanctity of this sacred day. This service will be led by Saul Kaye.


Yom Kippur Tots Service 4:00 p.m.

(In-person only, outdoors)

This service will be held on our blacktop, and is filled with songs and stories designed for families with toddlers and preschoolers.

We welcome families in the greater North Peninsula community to observe with the PTBE community. Non-member families please register to attend services using the link below.


Teen Experience 4:00 p.m.

(In-person only)

Our teens are invited for an interactive teen session focused on the High Holy Day themes of forgiveness, self-care, and compassion. Join peers for a chance to reflect together on the new year. Led by Rabbi Rebecca Hecht and Rabbi Genevieve Greinetz.


Yizkor Service 5:15 p.m.

(In-person and virtual options available)

Our afternoon memorial is a moving way to remember our loved ones. The Scroll of Remembrance is an online “book” which will be displayed on screens at the beginning of the Yizkor service. Please plan to arrive on time.

Yizkor will be followed by Neilah, the concluding service.

Neilah Service 

(Directly following Yizkor. Approximate start time 6:15 p.m.)

Join the concluding service of the holiday, together with community, at Neilah immediately following Yizkor.
